Two Concordia men were injured—one seriously—after a head-on collision south of the city Tuesday, June 24.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that an SUV driven by a 53-year-old man was heading north in the southbound lane of Route 23 near Concordia Lake, when at around 5 p.m., the vehicle struck a pickup head-on driven by another Concordia man. One of the drivers suffered serious injuries and was flown to a Kansas City area hospital. The other driver was taken to a Warrensburg hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
