The City of Sedalia is moving their trash collection schedule up a day this coming week in observance of the Fourth of July holiday.

Residents who normally have their pickup on Tuesday will need to have their trash to the curb the morning of Monday, June 30. The holiday schedule will repeat throughout the rest of the city, to allow sanitation crews the opportunity to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday this Friday with their families. City offices will also close Friday, July 4, 2025, as will the materials management site. The site will reopen Saturday, while city offices resume normal business hours Monday, July 7.

Separately, Sedalia’s final clean sweep pickup of the year is set for this week. Residents south of Broadway and west of Limit need to have their yard waste, construction and demolition waste, appliances, and other unwanted junk along the curb no later than 5 a.m. Monday, June 30.
