Monday afternoon’s rain showers led to some flash flooding on Lafayette Avenue in Marshall.

The afternoon showers brought a little more than an inch of rain throughout the city, which caused some standing water on several roadways, including the intersection of Lafayette and Boyd.

Residents are advised to avoid the area until the water drains. Drivers should avoid driving through any standing or moving water on the the roadways.
