Moberly Community Relations Manager Scott McGarvey is encouraging residents to keep safety in mind when discharging fireworks and celebrating Independence Day.

The city of Moberly allows residents to shoot fireworks between 10 a.m. and midnight on July 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. He is asking residents to use common sense when celebrating this week.

The ordinance prohibits residents from launching fireworks from streets, parks, or other public spaces. Debris from fireworks cannot land on other’s property. For more rules and fireworks safety tips, visit the City of Moberly’s website.
