The Moberly City Council voted to approve the budget for Fiscal Year 2025-2026 during its meeting on Monday, June 30.

The council made sure to approve final amendments to the 2024-2025 budget as the fiscal year ended. Community Relations Manager Scott McGarvey says the each of the city’s departments do a lot of work behind the scenes to get the budget ready for the fiscal year, which began July 1, 2025.

 

McGarvey says the council approved the budget without any issues.

In other news, the council accepted a bid from Courtney Construction, LLC for the Route EE sidewalk improvements. The base bid came out to $273,463.96.
