Lafayette County residents are encouraged to apply for a vacancy on the Trails Regional Library Board of Trustees.

The four-year term is available for one of the seats designated for a Lafayette County resident able to attend meetings once a month. Each trustee on the board is responsible for setting policy, adopting the annual budget, and promoting overall excellence for the library system’s eight branches in Lafayette and Johnson counties. Trustees are also responsible for providing strategic direction for effective planning, and serving as a public figure for the library system to increase public awareness and support of library services.

Qualified residents may submit an application at any library branch or e-mail a completed form to the system’s director no later than July 31. Additional details are available on the Trails Regional Library’s website.
