A Brookfield woman sustained serious injuries when her vehicle overturned on a Chariton County roadway on Wednesday, July 2.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred when a pickup driven by a 21-year-old Brookfield woman traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned at 5:50 a.m. on Missouri 11, one mile east of Mendon. The driver was dealt serious injuries in the accident and flown to a Columbia hospital for treatment.

Troopers report the woman was not wearing her seat-belt at the time of the crash.
