
Juanita Gae (Stockman) Cummings, 66, of Concordia, MO, formerly of Kansas City, MO, died Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Good Shepherd Care Community in Concordia.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 7, 2025, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Emma, with Vicar Walt Little officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Born August 24, 1958, in Sedalia, MO, she was the daughter of the late Albert William Stockman and Nora Langewisch Stockman. Juanita was raised in the Emma area and was a graduate of Sweet Springs High School. She worked at Nickerson’s in Emma and UMB Bank in Kansas City. For many years, she volunteered at the Kansas City Chief’s Stadium through the Lutheran High School in Kansas City. She was a homemaker to her family in Kansas City before moving to Concordia in 2024. Juanita was baptized and confirmed at Holy Cross Lutheran Church and when she moved to Kansas City she became a member of Ascension Lutheran Church.
Survivors include four children: Stephanie Schwartz (Aaron) of Rogersville, Jennifer Norris (Chris) of Buffalo, Daniel Cummings (Amanda) of Grain Valley and Katherine Nicholls (Connor) of Greenwood; former husband, Graham Cummings; 11 grandchildren: Aiden, Carter, Isla, Adriane, Nora, Lucas, Bode, Liam, Mason, Roaran and Lualani; six siblings: Bonnie Evans of Ft. Scott, KS, Marla Copeland of Lee’s Summit, Sandra Hauer of Arvada, CO, Wanda Martin of Jefferson City, Ricky Stockman of Emma and Tamie Stockman-Heagy of Lee’s Summit; as well as many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
In addition to her parents, Juanita was preceded in death by three siblings: Carl Stockman, Nona Knox, and Kenny Stockman.
