The Pettis County Road and Bridge Department will perform chip and seal work next week on a pair of roadways in the western part of the county.

Road crews will start work Monday, July 7 on Eckles Road, from Route T east to Walnut Grove Road. The roadway north of Dresden will close Monday morning at 7 a.m., with the work expected to wrap up by Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. Crews will then close La Monte Road on Wednesday at 7 a.m. from the city limits of La Monte, west to East Prairie Grove Road. This work should wrap up by 6 p.m. Thursday.

The department reminds motorists to make alternate travel arrangements for these dates, and to watch for work zone signs and barricades. Anyone with questions about the projects is welcome to contact the Pettis County Road and Bridge Department.
