Ida Joann Smith, 65, of Malta Bend, MO, died Friday, June 20, 2025, at The Living Center in Marshall.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Campbell Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Pastor Ralph Varner officiating.  There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Ida was born on January 21, 1960, in Chillicothe and was the daughter of the late William Smith and Hazel Hostetter Smith. She lived in the Malta Bend area most of her life and was a 1978 graduate of Santa Fe High School. Ida enjoyed watching Dr. Pohl, a veterinary show on TV, doing crafts, raising her grandkids and cooking for family. Ida’s life was her family.

Survivors include her sons: Nick Smith and Ryan Smith, both of Malta Bend; her adoptive sons, Jeremiah Samm of Sweet Springs and Chris Garrison of Waverly; seven grandchildren; three sisters: Kathy Hamblen of Waverly, Reeda Ballenger (Orbie) of Lexington and Eva Womack (Donnie) of Forsyth.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Timothy William Smith; a daughter- in- law, Jana Renee Smith; one brother, Bill Lee Smith; and one sister, Joyce Ann Brown.
