A Linn County woman suffered moderate injuries Friday, July 4 after she fell off a motorcycle in Northeast Missouri.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the 44-year-old woman from St Catherine was a passenger on a Harley Davidson motorcycle that was traveling west on U.S. Route 54 near Bowling Green. The report notes that at around 10:30 a.m., the bike’s 46-year-old driver attempted to steer into the turn lane for Business Route 54, but ended up laying the motorcycle down on its right side. That resulted in the woman falling from the motorcycle’s back. She was taken by ambulance to a Hannibal hospital, while the driver had no reported injuries. Troopers say neither person had the proper safety gear on at the time of the accident.
