A bridge rehabilitation project is set to begin this week for one of the spans over the Lamine River in Cooper County.
Crews will begin rehabilitation of the Route 41 bridge over the river, resulting in traffic being reduced to one lane. Flaggers will direct motorists across the bridge and through the work zone. The project is expected to wrap up in December. Also in Cooper and Moniteau counties, pavement resurfacing continues along Route 179 between routes 98 and 87. Pavement repairs are also scheduled for Route 87 in Howard County this week, while crews will resume their work along the route in Moniteau County on Tuesday, July 8.
Several culverts are set for replacement along Route F in Moniteau County this week, from Route E outside Latham east to the intersection with Route MM. A pair of culvert replacements in Linn County will result in road closures this week: Route 11 west of New Boston will close Tuesday between Routes PP and HH, while Route WW east of Marceline from Route ZZ to Newark Drive will close Wednesday.
Elsewhere, pothole patching continues in Carroll and Chariton counties this week. In Carroll County, crews continue filling potholes along routes UU and T, with both roads remaining open. In Chariton County, Route U will close Monday and Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. along the entirety of its route north of Prairie Hill, while Route UU outside Keytesville will close Thursday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Crews will also patch potholes along Route 129 north of Salisbury on Wednesday and Thursday, from U.S. Route 24 north to Route W, with the roadway remaining open.
