The Carrollton R-7 School District Board of Education accepted a bid for asphalt work at the Elementary School parking lot during its meeting on Tuesday, July 8.

The board reviewed and accepted the $19,000 bid from IG Construction for the work. Superintendent Dr. Tinna Croy says the work will entail resealing and re-striping to get it ready for the next school year.

Croy says the work begins Friday, July 11.

Also during the meeting, Croy reported on write-offs for outstanding lunch balances heading into the next school year. She notes the district used some donation money to clear out those balances and give everyone a fresh start for the upcoming school year.

Croy encourages parents with students in the district to fill out the application for free and reduced lunch.

The board’s next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 12.
