Jonathan Petersen has outlined several goals for himself and the district as he settles in to his new role as Superintendent of the Green Ridge R-8 School District.

One of Petersen’s immediate goals includes helping the district continue the success its experienced under former Superintendent Brett Hieronymus. Long-term, Petersen hopes to continue building the trust the district has with the Green Ridge Community.

Petersen also spoke about what he’s been doing to prepare the district for the start of the 2025-2026 school year next month.

The first day of school for the Green Ridge R-8 School District is scheduled for Wednesday, August 20.
