Robert L. Thomas, 94, of rural Marshall, died Friday, July 11, 2025 at The Bluffs in Columbia.

Graveside services with military honors will be Friday, July 18, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall, with Terry Jordan officiating.  Visitation will be from 12:30 until 1:30 P.M. Friday at Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.  Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church of Slater or the U.S. Veterans Administration in care of the funeral home.

Born February 21, 1931 in Arrow Rock, he was the son of the late Robert Ham Thomas and Mary Edith Eddy Thomas.

He is survived by a son, Robby Thomas and his wife Lu Ann of Slater; two daughters, Wanda Thomas Cramer and her husband David of Marshall, and Melissa “Missy” Thomas Gant of Marshall; five grandchildren, Todd Jackson (Sally), Miranda Fuchs (Robbie), Kristyn Snell (Martin), Levi Thomas (Whitney), and Tyler Nienaber (Jill); thirteen great-grandchildren, Elijah Jackson, Isaac Jackson, Karsyn Fuchs, Abigail Fuchs, Marlee Fuchs, Finley Fuchs, Ryder Snell, Harper Snell, Quinn Thomas, Kamden Nienaber, Violet Nienaber, Gianna Nienaber, and Arthur Nienaber; two step-great-grandchildren, Alexis Shurtleff and Zoe Shurtleff; and two sisters, Martha Thomas Smith of Ozark, Missouri, and Laura Lee Yeagle of Marshall.  He was preceded in death by his step-mother, Minnie Pearl Thomas; a brother, Max Thomas; a sister, Mary Frances Zimmerman; and a great-grandson.

Mr. Thomas was a member of the First Baptist Church of Slater.  He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean Conflict, and a member of the American Legion Post #78, and V.F.W. Post # 4367.  He farmed in rural Slater and worked at BHA, Inc. in Slater, from which he retired.  He also enjoyed driving livestock trucks.
