The City of Sedalia is inviting qualified vendors to submit proposals for the design, fabrication, and installation of distinctive wayfinding signage throughout the community.

This project is part of Sedalia’s ongoing strategy to strengthen tourism, support local businesses, and make it easier for residents and visitors alike to find key destinations. The new signage system will highlight Sedalia’s cultural, recreational, and historic sites with clear, consistent, and attractive designs. The project is funded in part by a 50/50 cash matching grant from the Missouri Division of Tourism’s Marketing Platform Development Grant Program, with a total budget of $60,000. All work must be completed by June 30, 2026 to meet grant requirements.

The City is seeking a qualified vendor to deliver comprehensive services, including design, fabrication, and installation along City and MoDOT rights-of-way.

The requirements for bidders include:
-Coordination with City staff to approve final designs and digital mockups,
-Fabrication meeting City-specified guidelines (including black powder-coated poles, cantilever brackets, and reflective coatings compliant with MUTCD standards),
-Complete installation services, including utility locates and compliance with MoDOT regulations,
-Providing all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, and incidentals needed for successful project delivery.

Bids will be accepted until 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 12, at the City Clerk’s Office. The bids will be opened and read aloud in the Council Chambers at City Hall that day as well.

The full bid packet, including specifications, design guidelines, maps, forms, and legal requirements are available here.
