The Carrollton Police Department has announced that three children for whom an Endangered Person Advisory was issued last night are now safe and in protective custody.

The department announced via social media early Wednesday, July 16, 2025 that the three children—ages four, two and two months old—were located and are now safe. Carrollton Police say the children were located with assistance from the Kansas City and Grain Valley police departments. The three children were at the center of an advisory issued late Tuesday evening by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, after authorities say that the children’s parents, 32-year-old Naomi McCaffery and 38-year-old Justin McCaffery, failed to follow a court order to relinquish custody of the children to the state’s Children’s Division.

Our original story follows:

The Carrollton Police Department and Missouri State Highway Patrol issued an Endangered Person Advisory on July 15, 2025 for three children that authorities say have been taken from Carroll County.

The Patrol’s advisory says that the children’s parents, 32-year-old Naomi McCaffery and 38-year-old Justin McCaffery, were directed by a court order to relinquish custody to the state’s Children’s Division, but failed to do so. Authorities say the three children—four-year-old Konnor, two-year-old Karson, and two-month-old Kaisen—were taken from their home in Carrollton on Monday.
