
Gloria Ruth Wilson, 72, of Nelson, MO, finished her work here and went to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2025, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with William W. Harlow officiating. Burial will follow at Salt Fork Cemetery in rural Nelson. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Nelson Baptist Church and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com
Born June 26, 1953, in Cozad, NE, she was the daughter of the late Raymond South and Ethel Ruth Dielman South. In 1966, she met Carl Wilson and they were married on April 8, 1967, and were blessed with three children. Gloria lived in the Nelson area most of her life and retired from Marshall Habilitation Center in 2004, after 30 years of service. Gloria was a member of Midway Baptist Church where she taught adult Sunday school.
In addition to her husband, Carl; she is survived by three children: James Ray Wilson of Stover, Michael Lee Wilson (Tina) of Stover and Evelyn Breshears (Tim) of Slater; six grandchildren: Crystal Simmons, Kevin Rafferty, Thomas Rafferty, Bryson Breshears, Mikey Wilson and Paul Wilson; a great-granddaughter, Rhosalynn Rafferty; her “sisters-in-heart”, Beverly and Janice; as well as nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Duane and Warren South; and a sister, Virginia South.
