Howard Edward Bryson, 84, of Marshall, MO, died Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.

Memorial visitation will be held Monday, July 21, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Memorial contributions are to family choice in care of the funeral home. An online guestbook may be signed at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Howard was born on June 13,1941, in Slater, MO, to the late Charles Bryson and Martha (Coleman) Bryson. He was raised on a farm near Carrollton, MO, and as a child he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He attended Slater Elementary School, graduated from Carrollton High School, completed college courses in business, attended trade school, and received much on-the-job training throughout his life. Howard’s career started mowing yards as his first paying job and led to working in a shoe factory, electric power plant, heating and cooling business, plumbing business, sheet metal business and a food processing plant. He retired from Waterloo Industries and then worked at the Marshall Municipal Airport as an airport attendant. Howard’s career always included some form of maintenance work. His hobbies were fishing, camping, reading, playing cards and spending time with his family.

In 1963 Howard married Ella Lueck who survives of the home, and to this union they had two daughters: Patricia Bedell (Tracy) and Janet Shields (Wayne); grandchildren: Richard Apel (Clara), Derek Apel (Jessica), Elizabeth Hines (Bryan), Katherine Cloughly (Larry) and Josh Shields; 16 great-grandchildren and one brother.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers.
