A Marshall student took second in her category at the National Educators Rising competition and conference in Orlando, Florida.

Twelve students with the Saline County Career Center Educators Rising Chapter participated in the event, which was held June 25-30. One of those students was Taylor Fann, who earned 2nd place in the National Competition for Creative Lecture. Fann presented about the pros and cons of AI in education. She says it took many months to research and prepare for the competition.

Fann earned 2nd place out of about 70 entries in her category. Fann says this experience has helped her get out of her comfort zone and branch out.

Several other SCCC students placed well at the National Competition. Ingrid Aguilar-Garcia placed 9th in Children’s Literature-Spanish. Joselyn Eddy and Makena McFarland earned 9th in Children’s Literature Pre-K.
