
A 17-year-old New Franklin driver was injured after running off a Howard County roadway on Saturday, July 19.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred as the driver swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway while traveling along U.S. Route 40, a quarter mile east of Missouri 5. The teen’s vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway and overturned.
The teen was dealt minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
The crash was reported at 1:50 a.m. in Howard County.
