A Versailles man suffered serious injuries when he was thrown from his motorcycle after a two-vehicle crash in Morgan County on Friday, July 18.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the 46-year-old man was riding his motorcycle south on Route 5 north of Gravois Mills, when at around 4:20 p.m. Friday afternoon, a sedan driven by a 74-year-old woman from Camdenton turned off Route J into the northbound lane of Route 5. The motorcycle struck the car, resulting in the rider being thrown from his bike. The Versailles man was flown to a Columbia hospital with serious injuries, while the Camdenton woman was taken to an Osage Beach hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. Troopers say the motorcycle rider was not wearing the proper safety gear at the time of the crash.
