Two people were injured after their vehicle went off a Linn County roadway Sunday, July 20.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that an SUV driven by a 38-year-old woman from Chillicothe was heading west on Husk Road, about a mile southwest of Brookfield. At around 10:50 p.m. Sunday, the driver swerved to avoid a deer, but went off the roadway and overturned. The driver had minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene. Her 48-year-old passenger from Brookfield suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. Troopers say the passenger was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.
