The University of Missouri’s Board of Curators has authorized a contract extension for head football coach Eliah Drinkwitz that will keep him on the sidelines at Faurot Field through the 2029 season.

The extension comes as Drinkwitz prepares for his sixth season as Mizzou’s head coach, seeking a third consecutive year of double-digit wins. Since coming to CoMo from Appalachian State, Drinkwitz has guided the Tigers to a 38-24 record, including wins in the 2023 Cotton Bowl over Ohio State and 2024 Music City Bowl over Iowa. The Tigers also have a 27-7 home record, including a perfect record at Faurot Field last season. Last year, Drinkwitz signed an extension through 2028, which saw him earn nine million dollars this past season.

Curators also authorized an enhanced salary pool for assistant coaches, strength and conditioning staff, and football support personnel. The announcement made Thursday follows the curators’ most recent meeting, last month in St Joseph.
