An emergency culvert replacement will close a short segment of Missouri Route 5 tomorrow between New Franklin and Fayette.

Local crews with the Missouri Department of Transportation plan to close Route 5 between County Road 426 and County Road 320 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30. During the closure, local property owners will be able to access driveways, but through traffic will need to seek an alternate route.

All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change. Motorists are advised to use extra caution through work zones, obey all traffic signs, and avoid any distractions.
