The Moberly City Council approved the purchase of a drive thru window at City Hall to allow for easier payments to the Water Department during its meeting on Monday, August 4.

The Moberly Water Department previously had a drive thru window at City Hall, but it was replaced with an automated kiosk several years ago. Community Relations Manager Scott McGarvey says the council decided to reinstall after negative feedback from the public.

The council received three bids for the drive thru window, accepting the low bid from Ready Access. The council hopes to have the window installed within the next 7-8 weeks.

The council also accepted a bid from Core and Main for water main replacement materials in the amount of $31,985.20.
