The Missouri Public Service Commission has set an Aug 21. deadline for interested parties to intervene in a proposed fuel rate adjustment by Evergy.
The proposed adjustment for Evergy’s Missouri Metro customers, which includes Chariton, Saline, most of Carroll, eastern Lafayette, and northwestern Pettis counties, would see the fuel adjustment rate decrease Oct. 1 by 31 cents per 1000 kilowatt hours, to $1.01. Evergy has also initiated an adjustment true-up that will be included in the proposed rate.
Parties to Evergy’s general rate proceeding last year are automatically parties to the new proceedings. Others who wish to intervene will need to apply no later than August 21st to the Missouri Public Service Commission, under the case numbers EO-2026-0029 and ER-2026-0030, or the Office of the Public Counsel.
