A one-vehicle accident on Highway 124 in Boone County left a Moberly man with serious injuries on Friday, August 8.

According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 8:05 a.m. when a truck driven by a 30-year-old Moberly man traveled off the right side of the road, overcorrected and then traveled off the left side of the roadway before striking a tree.

The driver was transported to University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Troopers report the driver was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident.
