Two area school districts are holding their monthly Board of Education meetings on Wednesday to set their tax levies for 2025-2026.

The Concordia R-2 Board of Education will begin at 7 p.m. starting with a public hearing to consider the proposed levy of $4.4770. The board will also consider a transportation contract with Santa Fe for Career Center students, approve handbook and policy changes for 2025-2026, and approve staff meal prices for the upcoming school year.

The Glasgow School Board meeting also gets underway at 7 p.m. with a hearing to set the district’s tax rate. The proposed rate for 2025-2026 is $4.7745. The Board of Education will also set the district’s tuition rate and approve the facilities plan and policy updates for the upcoming school year.

For both districts, the first day of school is set for Tuesday, August 19.
