
Cora Louise Winfrey, 103, of Marshall, MO, died Friday, August 8, 2025, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with William W. Harlow officiating. Burial will follow in Ridge Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Born July 11, 1922, in Howell County, MO, she was the daughter of the late Hobert Miller and Gertrude Judd Miller. On November 28, 1951, she married Dale G. Winfrey who preceded her in death on May 3, 2006. Cora’s life was dedicated to caring for her family.
Survivors include five children: Deborah Kay Proffitt of Gravois Mills, Claude Wesley Winfrey of Trenton, Patty Palmer of Slater, Sharon Dickey (Shawn) of Cortland, OH, and Kelly Winfrey (Heather) of Higginsville; seven grandchildren: Dawn Bru, Jason Gann, Brandon Palmer (Kahtrena), Tara Meyer (Troy), Kathryn Baker (Eli), Kellie Danielle Sanders (John) and Nichalous Winfrey; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Peggy Huddleston and Fern Harris, both of West Plains; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
In addition to her parents and husband, Cora was preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Jim Proffitt and Ralph Palmer; six siblings: Margaret Carter, Cecil Miller, Joe Miller, Emma Roark, Faye Johnston and Minerva McKenzie; and three brothers in infancy: Carl Hugh Miller, Ray Dean Miller and Harold James Miller.
