(UPDATE at 5:45 a.m., Aug. 12, 2025) A pair of thunderstorms that rolled through Sedalia on Monday, Aug. 11 has resulted in the cancellation of the Pro Pulling League State Fair Shootout.

The Missouri State Fair announced that full refunds are available for attendees who had tickets to Monday night’s tractor pull.   Attendees who paid for their tickets through Etix, or by paying with a credit or debit card at the Grandstand Ticket Office on the fairgrounds, will automatically receive their refund. Those who paid by cash, check or money order will need to complete a form available on the fair’s website, attach the original ticket stub, and mail to the fair’s ticket office no later than Sept. 9. Refunds will not be processed until after the conclusion of the state fair.

The Missouri State Fair is offering a partial refund for fairgoers who had tickets to Sunday’s MSF Shoot Out Truck and Tractor Pull.

Attendees who paid for their tickets through Etix, or by paying with a credit or debit card at the Grandstand Ticket Office on the fairgrounds, will automatically receive 50 percent of the ticket price and service fees back. Those who paid by cash, check or money order will need to complete a form available on the fair’s website, attach the original ticket stub, and mail to the fair’s ticket office no later than Sept. 9. Refunds will not be processed until after the conclusion of the state fair. Fair officials stress that no on-the-spot refunds will be made.
