Petet says architects drew on the surrounding environment to theme the building, and included informational walls throughout the building about wildlife native to the area.

Marshall Public Schools will host a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday morning at 9 a.m., with public tours to follow. All the district’s buildings will have their open houses Thursday evening. The first day of school in Marshall is Tuesday, Aug. 19.
