Missouri District 51 Representative Mark Nolte has made the decision to not run for another term.

Nolte was elected to a two-year term in November 2024, serving the residents of Saline and Lafayette County as the District 51 Representative. Nolte currently serves on the Agriculture Committee, the Professional Registration and Licensing Committee, and the Special Committee on Rural Issues.

In a statement release by Nolte, he says “It has been an honor to serve the District and I look forward to the opportunities remaining in my current term. I believe that it is important to make this announcement now in order for the party to find a suitable candidate to serve as our State Representative. I remain available to hear your District concerns for the remainder of my term as well as to help identify my replacement, should you desire that.”

Nolte plans to continue serving residents in the district until his term ends in 2027. His seat will be on the ballot in the November 2026 General Election.
