
The Glasgow School Board voted to set the district’s tax and tuition rate for the 2025-2026 school year during its meeting on Wednesday, August 13.
The district’s tax rates was set at $4.7745 per $100 assessed valuation, which is the same rate as last year. The board then set the tuition rate at $11,500 for 2025-2026.
Board members also approved an increase in substitute teacher pay, with non certified set at $105 and DESE certified teachers earning $125.
Like many other area school districts, Glasgow approved a policy restricting the use of cell phones and other electronic communications devices in classroom to be compliant with Senate Bill 68. The policy lists guidelines for device use during school hours, as well as disciplinary actions for violations.
The first day of school for the district is set for Tuesday, August 19.
