The Santa Fe R-X School Board held a tax levy hearing to set the district’s rate for 2025-2026 during its meeting on Wednesday, August 13.
Santa Fe Superintendent Derek Lark says the board was able to approve a slightly lower rate due to increases in assessed valuations.
The rate was set at $4.97 per $100 of assessed valuation.
Lark also spoke about the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year, and says he’s excited to get students back in the building.
The first day of school is set for Tuesday, August 19.
