
Two Pettis County residents were taken into custody after the Sedalia Police Department’s Special Response Team, working with the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force and the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office, executed a drug-related search warrant at a Hughesville residence on Tuesday, August 12.
During the operation, one subject, identified as 43-year-old Trina Harvey, resisted and assaulted officers before being taken into custody. The primary suspect in the narcotics investigation, identified as 42-year-old Christopher Blaylock, fled into the residence upon seeing law enforcement and was located in a restroom, where he was allegedly attempting to dispose of evidence. Officers also confirmed he had an active Pettis County arrest warrant for resisting arrest, with a $7,500 cash or surety bond.
A search of the home resulted in the discovery of methamphetamine and related drug paraphernalia. Both suspects were arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail.
Harvey is facing misdemeanors for assault in the fourth degree and resisting arrest. Blaylock has been charged with felonies for possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence, as well as a misdemeanor for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. his bond was set at $25,000 cash or surety.
Both subjects have court appearances scheduled for Tuesday, August 26 at Pettis County Circuit Court. Harvey’s arraignment is set for 9 a.m., while Blaylock’s hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
