
The Kansas City Chiefs couldn’t keep pace with Drew Lock and the Seattle Seahawks, falling 33-16 on Friday, August 15.
The Seahawks struck first with a 15-yard rushing touchdown from Zach Charbonnet and a 12-yard touchdown pass from Lock to Jake Bobo.
The Chiefs finally got on the board in the second quarter as Gardner Minshew II hit Robert Tonyan for a one yard score. Seattle added to their lead before the half with another touchdown and a safety.
In the second half, the Chiefs were only able to score on a 34-yard field goal from Harrison Butker and on Skyy Moore’s 88 yard punt return.
Minshew completed 7 of 9 passes for 70 yards and a touchdown. Tonyan recorded five catches for 41 yards and a score.
The Chiefs fall to 0-2 on the preseason. Kansas City will have one final preseason tune up before Week One of the regular season, as The Chief host the Chicago Bears on Friday, August 22. Kickoff at Arrowhead Stadium begins at 7:20 p.m.
