Months after her husband was convicted on charges of possessing child pornography, a Marshall woman is now facing her own charges.
38-year-old Tina Marie Hazen was charged last week in Saline County with four counts of possessing child pornography. According to court documents, the Western Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force led by the Platte County Sheriff’s Department served a search warrant in August 2022 on a Marshall residence, where Hazen’s husband was arrested. During that search, deputies informed Hazen that they had reason to believe she had also accessed hard drives that contained a large quantity of child sexual abuse material. The probable cause statement goes on to mention that Hazen turned over several hard drives that she claimed had belonged to her late father. Two days later, deputies executed another search warrant on the residence and seized 29 items, and say that they located child sexual abuse materials on three of those items. The statement then mentioned the titles and length of six explicit videos authorities say were in Hazen’s possession.
A warrant has been issued for Hazen’s arrest, with bond set at $50,000. Hazen’s husband Steven was convicted in a jury trial last May in Saline County on four charges of possessing child pornography. He was sentenced earlier this month to eight years in prison.
