God called Steven Sammy, of Marshall, home to rest on Saturday,   August 2, 2025, at a youthful 52.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 21, 2025, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall with Fr. Francis Doyle officiating. Visitation will follow from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the church. Burial will be held at a later date in Chuuk, Micronesia. An online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Sarfin Sammy and Domingka Sammy received Steven Sammy on December 24,1972. in Moch, Chuuk, Micronesia.

Survivors include five children: Ray, Ryan, Rodney, Rayna, and Rayven Samo/Sammy, all of Marshall; eight siblings: Kanisio and Panda Sammy, Marina Kiauol, Meriam Mwarike, Makina and Marsia Sammy, Materina Carper, and Veronika Rhaym: as well as nieces and nephews and other extended family.

Steven was full of laughter and smiles. His humorist traits were contagious, dull moments were rare at family events and gatherings. As an active member of the Micronesia group of Marshall, and loving father, Steven possessed a magnetic personality that will be commemorated for years to come.

In addition to his parents, Steven was preceded in death by his wife, Kanselina Samo and two siblings, Melisa Robert and Vinbar Sammy.
