
The Kansas City Chiefs showed signs of dominance, but allowed 19 fourth quarter points to allow the Chicago Bears to claim a 29-27 victory in the Chiefs’ final preseason game before the start of the 2025-2026 NFL season.
Patrick Mahomes guided the Chiefs to a strong first half performance, completing eight of his 13 passes for 143 yards and a touchdown. He also had an 18 yard scramble to pick up a first down.
Isiah Pacheco opened the scoring in the first quarter with a two-yard touchdown run. He finished the day with three carries for 21 yards.
The Chiefs held a 20-10 lead at the half, and led by 17 heading into the fourth quarter, but Chicago scored three straight touchdowns on passes for Tyson Bagent, who finished with three touchdown passes and 212 yards.
The Chiefs fall to 0-3 in the preseason. Kansas City now turns its attention to its season opener, which will be held in Brazil on Friday, September 5, against the Los Angeles Chargers.
