The Missouri Public Service Commission has given its approval to the sale of 19 small wastewater systems in Central Missouri, including one in Morgan County.
The PSC gave the green light Thursday, Aug. 21 to Missouri American Water Company’s sale of those systems to Confluence Rivers Utility Operating Company. The two entities filed the joint application last August, seeking approval of the sale of the wastewater system for the Ozark Meadows subdivision near Gravois Mills, as well as 18 located in Callaway County. The new owner is a subsidiary of Central States Water Resources, a Des Peres-based company that manages water and wastewater systems in 11 states, serving over 400,000 customers.
The PSC’s order approving the sale takes effect Saturday, Aug. 30.
