A Columbia man suffered serious injury after his motorcycle left a Howard County highway Sunday, Aug. 24.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the one-vehicle crash around 4 p.m. at the intersection of Route A and County Road 122, about five miles northwest of Harrisburg. Troopers say that the 27-year-old man was riding his motorcycle south on the highway when he exited the right side and became airborne. The bike then struck a fence and overturned. The man was flown to a Columbia hospital with serious injuries. Troopers say he had the proper safety gear on at the time of the crash.
