The Odessa Board of Aldermen is holding a public hearing to allow comments on the proposed tax rates for the next fiscal year.

The total proposed rate is $.6780 per $100 assessed valuation. This rate includes $.5364 for the General Fund and $.1416 for the Park Fund.

Following the public hearing, the board will go into regular session to consider the approval of the tax rates. The board also plans to consider a bill to amend the city’s Code of Ordinances, establishing regulations for Planned Unit Developments.

The public hearing begins at 6 p.m. in the Dyer Park Community Building, located at 601 West Main Street.
