A two-vehicle collision Monday, Aug. 25 outside Prairie Home sent a woman to the hospital with moderate injuries.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the crash on Route 87 a quarter-mile north of Apple Drive around 9:40 p.m. Monday. Troopers report that a vehicle driven by a 22-year-old man struck the back of a buggy as the two were northbound on Route 87. The impact threw the buggy’s occupants, a 23-year-old man and 28-year-old woman, out of the vehicle, and the buggy off the right side of the road. The woman was taken to a Columbia hospital, while both men had no reported injuries. Troopers added that none of three people mentioned in the report were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
