
The Marshall Municipal Utilities Board of Public Works approved the annual budget for Fiscal Year 2025-2026 during its meeting on Wednesday, August 27.
The board held a work session on August 5th to review and improve the draft budget. The budget has $35,511,000 in revenue and $34,200,000 in expenditures. A draft of the budget was also reviewed by the board during its previous meeting. The board approved the budget as presented. MMU will now present the budget to the Marshall City Council for approval. The next fiscal year begins October 1.
The board also approved a motion to request bids for a new skid steer for the Recycle Center. MMU was awarded an 85/15 grant from the Region F Solid Waste District for the purchase.
MMU then accepted a proposal from Rasmussen Air and Gas Energy to replace air compressors and air dryers at the Water Treatment Plant.
The board’s next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September 10.
