A Moberly man was among two people injured in a crash just outside the Columbia city limits Thursday, Aug. 28.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the collision around 8:10 a.m., when troopers say the 51-year-old man was driving his Jeep west on Oakland Church Road when he failed to stop at the stop sign at Route B. According to the patrol’s report, the Jeep entered the intersection and was struck by a southbound semi truck. The two vehicles then went off the right side of the road. The driver and his 41-year-old passenger, a woman from St Charles, were taken to a Columbia hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. No injuries were reported for the driver of the semi.
