Residents in Sweet Springs remain under a boil advisory as water crews continue to identify and fix breaks that occurred Thursday, Aug. 28 in their system.

A spokesperson for the city tells KMMO News that at least one break has been fixed as of Friday morning. Residents reported a drop in pressure or loss of service Thursday night, prompting a citywide boil advisory. No timetable has been set for when the advisory might be lifted, as quality testing will need to take place once all breaks are identified and repaired.

Residents under a boil advisory are asked to bring their water to a boil for three minutes and allow the water to cool before use.
