Several area city councils are scheduled to meet Tuesday evening. Most of these councils are meeting a day later than normal due to the Labor Day Holiday.

The meeting of the Concordia Board of Aldermen gets underway at 5 p.m. to review an amendment of the City Code to remove the City Lake property from the list of Public Places, allowing open containers on the premises. The board will also consider a bill to establish procedures and regulations for Special Event permits.

The Marshall City Council will meet at 6 p.m. to accept the city’s budget for 2025-2026 and also approve the annual operating budget for MMU’s Board of Public Works. The Carrollton Town Council and Higginsville Board of Aldermen also meet at 6 p.m.

At 6:30 p.m., the Sedalia City Council will hold its regular meeting to consider amendments to the city’s budget and fee schedule.

The Boonville City Council is also holding a meeting, which will begin at 7 p.m.
