
C. Fred Heying, 79, of rural Marshall, MO, died Sunday, August 31, 2025, at his home.

Born August 9, 1946, in Miami, MO, he was the son of the late Ralph Harold Heying and Mary Maud French. Fred lived in Saline County all of his life, had worked in various occupations and retired as a truck driver. On December 5, 1992, he married Frances “Fran” Perry who preceded him in death on December 20, 2022. Fred was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Marshall where he had served as a deacon.
Survivors include four children: Mike Heying (Christy) of Marshall, Amy Stringer of Warrensburg, Vicki Toliver of Marshall and Janet Wennihan (Greg) of Fairfax; eight grandchildren: Seth, Tabatha, Kylie, Brittney, Hayden, Karson, Kassidy and Jacob; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Ralph Eugene Heying (Jan) of Kansas City; as well as nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and two sisters, Katie Davis (Tom) and Mary Kirchhoff (Calvin).
