The Missouri Department of Natural Resources has opened a survey for residents to provide input on what improvements Missouri State Parks can make to the Bothwell Lodge State Historic Site north of Sedalia.

The survey is one of the first steps the park system is taking to craft the site’s newest conceptual development plan. The long-range plan guides the future use and development at each state park and historic site, supporting its mission, purpose, and direction. Each site’s plan outlines area use, site goals, development objectives, research needs, and project phasing, while taking into consideration each location’s significant natural, cultural and recreational resources.

The survey is available on the Missouri State Parks’ website until Oct. 3. A second survey and open house will take place at a later date as part of the development process.
